McKyus lives in the St Paul’s community on Moa Island in the Torres Strait. He has been diagnosed with autism and has difficulty with communication, reading and writing, but he is amazing at drawing. This inspiring story shows how a small community and a few mentors have nurtured Mckyus’s talent and skills to produce a book about Monsters.
The Indigenous Literacy Foundation is proud to support and publish this book for the St Paul’s community.
